The East Side Union High School District is broken - and the Board of Trustees needs new leadership to fix it. That is why I am running.

For too long, we have not demanded excellence from our students, our teachers, or our District. I will end that. We must ensure that our young people are prepared for jobs in the Silicon Valley economy of the future.

As the parent of a recent high school graduate and three young children, I know that East Side Union High School District needs to improve teacher and student accountability, spend taxpayers' money more wisely, and look for new, innovative, and proven ideas for how to educate our young people.

I will be an independent voice on the East Side Union High School District board with one guiding principal: to do what's best for East Side students.
