Board Member; Cambrian School District

This is a copy of information submitted to elections officials by the candidate

Occupation: Governing Board Member, Cambrian School District
Age: 41
Education and Qualifications:
As the Incumbent, I am running for a second term to enhance the quality of education in Cambrian and to increase communications between the board, parents and teachers. Our family has made San Jose our home for 12 years. My wife Diane is a schoolteacher and we live in the Cambrian community with our two children: fifth-grader Benjamin and toddler Lev.

Cambrian is one of the best districts in the state and I'll work to maintain our high academic standards, bringing the latest technology to our classrooms such as iPads, keeping our schools safe and our classroom sizes small.

With over 15 years as a Silicon Valley communications manager and with 18 months on the Cambrian School Board, notable accomplishments are:

1. Cambrian schools' Academic Performance Index scores close to 900.

2. Allocated funds promoting programs in: art, music, science, PE, and technology.

3. Created a five-year strategic plan with communications being a major component to prepare students for the workplace of the future.

Endorsements: Assemblymembers Jim Beall and Paul Fong; Santa Clara County D.A. Jeff Rosen; Councilmember Don Rocha; Cambrian School Board President Scofield; Cambrian Park Little League and Home & School Club Members.
