Candidate's Statement

By Gene Sinser

Candidate for Director; Montecito Fire Protection District

This information is provided by the candidate
Get the Montecito Fire District the best it can be, best fire coverage, best management, superior financial responsibitly
I am running for Montecito Fire Protection District Board to assure continued superior fire protection coupled with responsible financial management. As a resident of Montecito since 1996, my wife Patty DeDominic and I have enjoyed the semi-rural area so dear to all of us. I served 5 years as Board Member and Treasurer of the Montecito Association where I worked hard to maintain our community's unique character and uphold the Montecito Community Plan. I served three terms on the County Grand Jury reviewing local governments and special districts to make sure they were fiscally sound and well run. I have an Accounting degree from Liszt College with post graduate work at UCLA and USC. I served for 30 years as top executive in the National Food Service Industry; Art Gallery owner for 20 years; currently Treasurer of the Santa Barbara Symphony Association and volunteer Business Counselor to Entrepreneurs with SCORE (US Small Business Administration). I have the personal skills and experience to help ensure that the District uses its funds wisely to maintain the best services for all residents. I will work to see that our District's fine reputation and performance record will not only be continued, but enhanced.
