Promote resource neutral/green business as well as our small mom-and-pop businesses.

By Fred Shaw

Candidate for Council Member; City of Carpinteria

This information is provided by the candidate
As a Council member I would be able to use my position to promote businesses that are green (i.e. solar) or technical in nature (i.e. Lynda.com) which would have minimal resource impact.
Further, by encouraging use of Amtrak, Carpinteria's small beach town businesses could take advantage of being a car free shopping/dining/beach destination.
I have worked on community events and with the City Host program to advance local businesses.
