As California's senior advisor on renewable energy, I have helped two governors encourage, permit and develop clean energy projects. My experience has prepared me to help keep SMUD on the right track in a rapidly changing world.

Affordable electric power is important to our families. We are fortunate to own and govern our utility company. We elect SMUD Board members to meet the needs of 1.5 million consumers by keeping our electric power affordable and by keeping SMUD at the forefront of technological innovation.

Having lived in SMUD District 5 for more than 30 years I want to make sure my neighbors and our local businesses have a utility that meets our needs as a vital city with an economy that supports our families. As District 5 SMUD representative, I will maintain the proud traditions of cost-effective investment in renewable power sources, conservation programs, and environmental stewardship.

Please join me to:
-Keep the lights on for Sacramento families and businesses.
-Run a tight fiscal ship so we can invest in a brighter energy future.
-Make sure that SMUD bills stay affordable for all of us.
-Maintain the SMUD commitment to green, clean, and sustainable energy.
-Prepare our utility for the future so we can effectively meet new energy challenges.
