Create a Youth Group Coalition

This paper outlines the strategy to create a coalition among, the Police Athletic League (PAL), Boys & Girls Club of America and Galt School Districts.
1. Identify key players to develop coalition (Chief of Police, Galt; Galt Police Officers Association; Boys & Girls Club representative, Galt School District representative, and Galt City Recreation Dept. representative.)
2. Identify potential sponsors and fund sources - grants, fundraisers, etc.
3. Identify potential locations for programs and coordinate them with current Galt School District programs.
4. Identify and hire adults to work within the program.
5. Create programs that reach Spanish speaking population.
6. Coordinate with current owners of physical fitness clubs for reduced fees for youth members of the program.
7. Develop strong financial controls for operation of the program - CPA review.
8. Create monthly and annual reports for the City of Galt, Boys & Girls Club and PAL.
