There are very few people who would argue about the importance of excellence in education. Education can open doors to opportunities that would have never been possible were it not for the education and preparation that most people received while in school. While the economy continues to fluctuate and times are uncertain. It is more important than ever for our students to receive the proper education and training that will allow them to acquire a good job and produce a stable income that is required to sustain a decent living.

Unfortunately, there are many problems facing our educational system today and several of them are having very negative effects on the quality of the education our students are receiving. It is our duty as educators and parents to team together and try our very best to work through these problems, solve them, and still provide our students with the best possible education.

If elected to the school board my agenda would be to improve our students' academic opportunities while reviewing budget decisions and hold administrators accountable. As a college professor and school purchasing agent for over fifteen years, I understand how to create value while sustaining costs. I know how to use the resources of our district effectively.
