By JERRY VILANDER

Candidate for Board Member; Midway City Sanitary District

This information is provided by the candidate
I am a lifelong resident committed to reasonable tax rates and budgeting for replacement of critical aging infrastructure.
As a 43 year life long resident of Westminster, I attended Boos, Fryberger, Johnson, and Westminster High School. After graduating from high school I attended Orange Coast College and Santa Ana College prior to my 13 year career with the City of Westminster Water Department. During my employment with Westminster I promoted through the ranks gathering hands-on experience. I attended Cal State Long Beach during the evenings obtaining a Bachelor's in Political Science and Master's Degree in Public Administration.

I went on to work for the City of La Habra as their Water and Sewer Utility Authority Manager. Currently I work for Mesa Consolidated Water District in Costa Mesa as the Water Operations Manager where I have been effective in maintaining a very efficient operation and productive work force. The team of staff is fantastic and very much appreciated.

With nearly 20 years of working my way through the ranks, I understand all aspects of a utility district. With your vote I can help our Midway City Sanitary District move along with a short and long term plan to ensure our capital infrastructure (e.g., pipes and equipment) replacement and reliable trash pickup are being properly budgeted for while maintaining reasonable rates.
