Candidate for
Council Member; City of Fountain Valley

I was born in Philadelphia in 1964. I am the 12th child, in a family of 15 children. Seven boys, eight girls.

My father, a Pearl Harbor survivor, worked in the construction industry his entire life. My mother was a homemaker, and make a home she did! Sadly, she died earlier this year, on my birthday. Our parents instilled in all of us, rock solid values and a strong work ethic.

When I graduated from High School, I was financially unable to attend college, so I sought a profession I really enjoyed. I found it in cars. I love cars!

I moved to Orlando Fla. for a couple of years, then moved to Orange County, where I call "home". I started with Allen Tire Company, beginning my career in 1987 as a tire technician. I advanced into Sales, then Store Manager, District Manager, Operations Manager, then Vice President of Operations in 2012, the position I currently hold. Hard work and dedication has its rewards.

I married my wife, Bonnie (nee Hersh), 22 years ago. We were blessed with a boy and a girl, both products of Fountain Valley Schools. Bonnie is a teacher at Tamura Elementary School, my son, Michael, attends Irvine Valley College where he is a pitcher for the baseball team. My daughter, Ellie, attends FVHS and is an assistant trainer for the Barons Football team.
