My Record...My Philosophy
I'm running again because I fee that my proven experience and leadership can help solve the city's financial crisis. I worked for you for 12 years on the HB City Council (1992-2000, 2002-2006), twice as mayor.

A past record is the best indicator of future performance:

1.Sounded the alarm in 1991 about the pension crisis.
2.Led the fight for the "Save Our Parks" charter amendment that gives you, not the city council, the final approval for building on our beaches and in our parks.
3. Successfully dealt with the 1994 Orange County bankruptcy crisis.
4.Stopped the supplemental retirement boondoggle for future employees, saving millions.
5.Got you refunds on the illegal pension property tax.
6.Led the fight for the voter approved new senior center. Let's get it built!

My philosophy:

A councilperson should actively solicit the publics' views and act on them.

A city budget is no different than a family budget. Don't spend what you don't have.
