The end of Redevelopemnt Agencies and the Satte Department of Finance hs slowed progress on the Town Center.In spite of the fact that Yorba Linda has $19 Million in bonds sold in February 2011 for Town Center infrastructure, the end of Redevlopment agencies by the state effective 2/1/2012 and the slowness of the California State departmwent of Finance in reviewing plans all over the state has slowed progress on our Town Center. Yorba Linda recently (10/24/12)sent a team of staff members to Sacramento to brief DOF personnel on our Town Center plans. I expect a positve response from DOF by 12/1 of this year. We have a develoment contractor, Zelman, under an exclusive negotiating agreement. Their concept plans are outstanding. Harris has been contracted by Yorba Linda to do the design and construct the necessary infrastructure and new street. We are ready to move as soon as outside restrictions are removed. |
