I was a founding member of the Placentia Library Foundation Board of Directors and have been a life member of the Placentia Library Friends Foundation since 1991.

I believe that the public library should be organized and prepared to serve all the age groups of our community with professional and technical staff. The public library should be Placentia's gateway agency for personal information technology, lifelong learning and recreational reading.

I believe that the public library's services need to be compatible with the curriculums of the public and private schools of Placentia and to be a resource to the home schooling families.

I believe that the public library has an obligation to collect, organize, preserve and present Placentia's history and local publications.

I believe in a strong program of community volunteers to enhance and expand the public library's personnel resources.

I believe that Placentia Library needs to devote more effort to learning about Placentia through active community participation.
