RANCHO SANTIAGO COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT TRUSTEE

2012 Vice President, Rancho Santiago Community College District Area 5 I've been a tireless advocate for high educational standards, better job training, less waste in schools, strong vocational programs and curriculums that fill the gap between education and the workplace.

RSCCD Finance/Budget Committees (2008-2012)- District has demonstrated fiduciary responsibility by meeting all budget reductions, while maintaining a budget reserve and surplus at year-end with no impact to the full time faculty.

RSCCD Legislative, Facilities, Policy, District Foundation Committee Member (2008 -Present)

As Trustee, initiated the expansion of Board Evaluations process that includes feedback from within the District, its employees and faculty as well as, inviting the community/community leaders. Specifically satisfied Western State Accreditation Evaluation deficiency identified for the Board of Trustees.

As the newest Trustee, requested and achieved greater transparency of the Board and Chancellor's evaluation process to included regular measured progress of the Board and Chancellor's objectives and goals.

Vice Chair, Santa Ana Redevelopment Oversight Board 2012, Position appointed by Office of California Community College Chancellor.

SANTA ANA UNIFIED SCHOOL DISTRICT Co-Chairman, School Bond $420 Million, Measure G 2008, Campaign passed with an astounding 68% approval. Measure G provides new and modernized classrooms to over 55,000 SAUSD students assuring them access to the latest technology.

Chairman, SAUSD Citizens Bond Oversight Committee 2004-Present. Served as a strong advocate of fiscal prudence, taxpayer safeguards and accountability in managing our important education funds.

Member, Budget Re-Allocation Committee (2005-2007) ($90 million reduced)

Member, Solar Steering Committee 2012 ($20 million grant application)
