I have been privileged to serve as your Trustee for almost 16 years providing principled leadership to Saddleback and Irvine Valley Colleges.

I am a 32 year Irvine resident, whose past civic activities include past president of of SOCCCD Board of Trustees (3 years), Santa Ana Rotary, IVC Foundation, OCAD, and AJC - OC Chapter.

I am a CPA and 27 year owner in the Irvine firm, HBLA. I understand budgets and the need to balance available resources with the pursuit of academic excellence, in a fiscally prudent manner.

Consistent with my past leadership record, I will continue to oppose tax increases, reduce bureaucracy, insure that our colleges improve student success, increase job training, certificate, and transfer programs, and support our vital Emeritus and community education offerings.

I am proud of the District's accomplishments during my tenure on the Board, that:

• Made capital improvements of over $250 million without a bond measure
• Expanded course offerings
• Implemented cutting edge technology
• Developed the Tustin campus
• Fully funded our current retirement obligations
