A Lifetime of Service

After high school, Bill enlisted in the United States Army, serving as a military police officer. After his military service, Bill was hired by the Orange County Sheriff's Department and served 22 years as a Deputy Sheriff, Investigator, Sergeant, Lieutenant, and as the Chief of Police Services for the City of San Clemente. Bill can rely on his public safety experience to ensure our community preserves and enhances our quality of life by keeping you safe and secure.

Bill was appointed by the City Council to serve our city as a Parks and Recreations Commissioner from 1999 + 2003, acting as the Chair from February 2001 + March 2002. His accomplishments on that committee include renovating and improving several of our neighborhood parks, including El Conjeo Park, Clarington Park, Costeau Park, Stockport Park, and establishing an open space master plan. He is especially proud of the work the commission did to ensure the opening of our city's vibrant community center, sports fields, playground, hockey rink, and skate park.

Family Life

Bill and his wife Debbie raised their 4 children in our community. All attended Lomarena Elementary School. Their son Kyle, now in the United States Air Force, and their daughter, Sara, graduated from Laguna Hills High School. Their youngest daughter, Amanda, is currently a senior at Laguna Hills High School and their youngest son, Jason, is an eighth grader at Los Alisos Middle School.

Bill and his family have been active in our city's children's programs such as All Sorts of Sports, Build a Fort, and a variety of other sporting and community activities. Over the last two decades, Bill coached or assisted in coaching his children with soccer, roller hockey, and Laguna Hills Little League.

Community Leadership

As a longtime resident and small business owner, Bill knows that our community is a great place to live, work, and raise a family. Bill strongly believes we need to continue the tradition of principled, community-centered leadership to ensure the quality of life our families have always enjoyed in Laguna Hills. Bill believes in ethical, honest service from our elected officials and pledges to provide that type of leadership as a member of the City Council.
