My educational experience is extensive and includes a variety of positions in elementary, unified, and high school districts.

My emphasis will always be focused on educational excellence and curriculum improvement, development and maintenance of positive and effective staff relations, and encouragement of community involvement in the educational process to enhance programs and services to students.

I am well-able to appreciate and support a system which attends not only to the needs of all students, but creates and sustains high expectations of performance. I am committed to excellence in teaching and learning for all students. We must ensure students master basic skills.

I believe we must keep in mind that education is based on effective teaching; that without staff cooperation and good morale educational programs will suffer. A positive educational climate can best be facililtated by open and frequent communications, by clearly communicating the goals of the District and the standards and expectations for all employees, and by establishing and maintaining mutual trust and respect among all stakeholders.

I am a fiscal conservative and proud that the District has maintained financial stability and cash flow without substantial budget cuts or salary reductions. It is critical to ensure our precious tax dollars are used to maintain a rich environment that prepares all students for college and the workforce.

We must ensure that staff and students have access to the best technology, including 21st century Google platforms, Chrome Books, and Tablet PC computers.

Students will always be my first priority.
