Surplus Property: Future swings in student population must be considered. The community's current needs must also be considered. I will work to find the best possible long term solutions for our community.

Fiscal Responsibility: I will work to make sure Measure "M" funds are handled well. I will work to make sure the district does not take on more debt or place new taxes on our property owners. I will also make sure funds go directly to classrooms as much as possible.

Academic Achievement: While the Cypress School District performs well, there is always room for improvement. I believe every child can learn if his or her needs are answered. As a former Trustee, I developed academic programs to answer student needs, including Oxford Academy and Sunburst Youth Academy, a partnership with the National Guard.

Parent's Rights: As a former member of the Orange County Board of Education, I developed a parental rights handbook for those parents whose students had been suspended or expelled. As the next member of the Cypress School Board, I will work to protect parental and student's rights.
