Balanced Budget

By Bruce Carlos Delgado

Candidate for Mayor; City of Marina

This information is provided by the candidate
When Bruce left the City Council in 2004, the city had a balanced budget. With the help of Council Members Frank O'Connell and David Brown we are moving towards restoration of that balance while maintaining a sensible reserve.
While on Marina City Council, Bruce was supportive of the new skate park, community library, MST's new bus facility across from the post office, and redevelopment of blight at Fort Ord.

A new Teen Center has opened along with a new Monterey Peninsula College Marina Campus, the Peninsula Wellness Center and Monterey Bay Urgent Care, and the Imjin Business Center.

This year, Marina was chosen by the federal government for a new $80M VA clinic for veterans and their families. Thanks to team effort by City Council, City staff, and private developers, construction is planned to begin in December, 2012, on a 10-screen movie theater and 4 other business lots.

This means more commerce, more fun, and less blight on Fort Ord.

From working with small businesses, to providing activities for families, Bruce Delgado is working for Marina.
