This is a copy of information submitted to elections officials by the candidate

My name is: Roger Wykle

My age is: 46

My occupation is: Construction Management Business Owner/Retired US Coast Guard Commander

Education and Qualifications:

Moraga is an exceptional town that offers beautiful open space, first-rate schools, and a caring community. As a Planning Commissioner and parent of two children at Los Perales, I'm keenly aware of the challenges facing Moraga in the next four years, and the issues that are important to Moraga's families.

If elected, I pledge to:

Uphold the General Plan's directive to "preserve open space to the maximum extent possible" by protecting our scenic ridgelines and hillsides from overdevelopment; Listen to, encourage and respect public comments. Town Council decisions must meaningfully respond to the thoughtful input of Moraga residents; Implement a fiscally sound solution to tackle Town infrastructure repairs and maintenance; Act to revitalize downtown areas and support locally owned businesses; Strengthen our General Plan (due for updating) to better reflect community priorities; Support our schools and youth/recreational programs, and strengthen cooperation between the Town, the School District, and Saint Mary's College.

Together we can meet these challenges and preserve Moraga's outstanding quality of life. I respectfully ask for your vote.

Moraga Planning Commissioner, 2+ years; BS, Civil Engineering (Coast Guard Academy); MS, Civil Engineering (University of Illinois); MBA (Old Dominion University); Licensed Professional Civil Engineer (California, Nevada)
