This is a copy of information submitted to elections officials by the candidate

My name is: Nancy Wallace

My age is: 48

My occupation is: Parent/Community Volunteer/Former Attorney

Education and Qualifications:

I believe in providing a world-class education to all our students. Reaching that goal in these economic times requires proven leadership and experience. It also requires an understanding of practical considerations, financial implications and legal constraints. My experiences as a volunteer in our community and my professional background have given me these skills.

I have three children who attend or have attended school in this district - - two typically developing daughters and a son with special needs. As part of supporting their education, I have been an active member and leader in both the general education and special needs communities for years.

In addition to volunteering in the classroom and on campus, I have also been a member of the Director of Student Services' Parent Advisory Committee and the District Grant Writing Committee. I have served as both the Vice President and Secretary of the Springhill PFC and as co- chair of the Springhill Auction. I am also the president of SEED (a special education foundation.)

My professional background enhances these experiences. Before leaving my practice at a large international law firm to care for my children, I practiced law for eleven years and also worked in the actuarial field.
