This is a copy of information submitted to elections officials by the candidate

My name is: Julie Pierce

My age is: 62

My occupation is: Clayton City Council Member

Education and Qualifications:

I've been honored to serve as your councilmember since 1992, working diligently to preserve our ridgelines, creeks, trails and open spaces. I bring community knowledge and continuity of policy leadership to an evolving council. I'm committed to maintaining Clayton's financial stability through careful planning and conservative budgeting.

On the regional level, I am actively involved in protecting our local control as the region struggles with plans for future growth. We must plan for the future we want for ourselves, our children and grandchildren while retaining the unique qualities that make our communities special. I'm committed to continuing Clayton's strong, respected voice in regional planning.

Together, we established a vision for our downtown. The Grove park is the lively focal point and will be the catalyst for economic development enhancing Clayton's charm and character. New commercial buildings and businesses will bring services for our residents and provide needed city revenue.

I co-chaired the effort to build our community gym, helped establish our Concerts in The Grove, co-chair July 4th events and volunteer for many community events. I'd be honored to continue serving Clayton residents and will work to ensure the responsible operation of our city.

My email is: Julie_Pierce@comcast.net
