My name is: Renee Morgan

My age is: 48

My occupation is: Danville Planning Commissioner and Architectural Designer

Education and Qualifications:

As a long time resident and mother of two Danville-raised children, I will commit my continuing efforts to preserve and maintain our family oriented community and enthusiastically seek a position on Town Council.

My Qualifications reveal a deep,broad and very personal level of activism in ourschools, with ourveterans, ourseniorcitizens and community.

My roles in Professional Groups and Local Government include:Town Planning Commissioner Chair and Vice Chair,Heritage Resource Commissioner Vice Chair, Member of Historic Design Review,League of California Cities, California Preservation Foundation, American Planners Association,Architecture and Design, Master Planned Communities and California Association of Realtors.

These roles have all been substantial in scope and achievement. I have been instrumental in maintaining Danville's Scenic Hillside Ordinance, Downtown Design Standards, Developing and executing our General Plan, "Green" initiative, creating traffic calming and monitoring programs, protecting our open spaces, endangered species and abiding by our Environmental Impact Reviews, to name a few.

My background extends into Education and Civic Leadership. I am a graduate of Danville's Citizens Police Academy, Leadership San Ramon Valley and Leadership Pleasanton. I am active with the National Youth Sports Coaches Association, Child Abuse Prevention, School Site Council of San Ramon Valley Unified School District and Operation Welcome Home/Sentinals of Freedom.

All too often, Government leaders are perceived by their constituents as outsiders looking in. When elected to the Town Council, I will embrace the job from a personal perspective that draws upon my experience as an active Resident, Caretaker and Business Executive. I posses proven local leadership experience, a demonstrated commitment to our community, and a sincere love and appreciation for what our Town has to offer its citizens. I would take great honor in representing our citizens on the Town Council.
