Things are looking up in Pittsburg. While many other cities are struggling - some barely surviving - Pittsburg is sustaining, despite hard financial times in California.

A Balanced Budget: We balance our budget each and every year with resources to spare. Pittsburg boasts a healthy reserve for future emergencies and a budget stabilization fund for unanticipated shortfalls.

A Thriving Downtown and Marina: Visit our downtown and marina and you can tell that Pittsburg is looking up! A beautiful Marina, the Entrata Building and Elk's Lodge, affordable senior housing, La Veranda Restaurant, and the Vidrio and Hampton Inn Suites projects.

New Jobs Created: No city works harder to bring jobs into the community than Pittsburg, the latest being the new K2 Pure manufacturing plant.

A Decrease in Crime: As former Police Chief, I am proud of our police officers and the work they have done to lower violent crime in Pittsburg by 50%, in comparison to other cities which have experienced an increase in violent crime. Pittsburg currently boasts its lowest crime rate in 50 years. Things are definitely looking up in Pittsburg.

Improving Roads: Because we have instituted strong financial planning, I feel secure in knowing that we have allocated $60 million over five years to improve our streets, storm drains, traffic signals, water facilities and parks.

Things are looking up in Pittsburg! We need to stay on top of things - to keep Pittsburg moving forward. I would be honored to have your trust and your vote for serving another four years on the City Council. Thank you.
