This is a copy of information submitted to elections officials by the candidate

An Oroville native for 58 years, I continue to make Oroville my home. I was privileged to serve with Oroville City Fire Department for 34 years as a volunteer firefighter, Engineer, Fire Captain, Battalion Chief, and Fire Chief. I retired in 2007 and continue as a part-time Fire Technology Instructor at Butte College.

Representing you and your fellow citizens of Oroville for the last 4 years as Councilmember has been my privilege. My decision-making has been directed by the priorities of public safety, quality of life, job creation and economic development for existing business and encouraging new opportunities, public participation & open communication.

Accomplishments during my first term include securing many federal, state and Indian Gaming grant funds for the Oroville community, providing for the removal of blighted buildings, traffic and pedestrian safety improvements, security cameras throughout the community, establishing neighborhood safety programs, senior affordable housing, new business opportunities and continuing the development of a Whitewater Park idea.

As an advocate for Oroville, I pledge to use the priorities of public safety, quality of life, economic development and public participation as your representative. I humbly ask for your support on November 6, 2012.

s/ David W. Pittman
