As an Oroville City Council member, I can offer a business background as a prior owner and as an employee of private businesses. My 36 years in Oroville has seen an increase in citizens, and changes. Oroville must move forward accordingly, and offer a good quality of life while improving it. We must bring new businesses and jobs here, without negatively impacting existing ones. Spending must be done carefully, the budget is tight. Tourism should be addressed, bringing more visitors to Oroville which benefits businesses while increasing income to the City and benefiting safety and improvements. More involvement and communication with citizens and businesses is important.

My volunteerism has resulted in special events which bring thousands of people to our City, a new art organization, the Oroville Arts Commission, a growing list of public art pieces, membership in a variety of service and business groups and activities, and art education for children. My experience includes actively and positively participating on committees, commissions and boards with the City.
