Candidate for
Member City Council; City of Chico

I've been a resident of Chico for over 30 years and I'm a father, grandfather, veteran, 2-time cancer survivor, small business owner, umpire, realtor and civic volunteer. I have always sought positive changes for Chico. We need a fresh perspective resulting in positive and meaningful changes to the city we all love. I want to bring back our passion for Chico.

The citizens should not bear the burden of poor budget decisions by our current city council. I plan to work with over 6500 existing businesses and landlords to lower fees and permits which will enable new economic growth. Passing the costs of poor planning in the form of a sales tax increase will only make our situation worse.

What happened to Chico's Quality of life? Putting aside political alignments, we all deserve to have a safe place to live, have clean water fair, jobs, and recreation. We deserve an elected city council who will spend our tax dollars wisely and bring Chico back.

I believe there are workable solutions that will change the fiscal direction of our city. I will do what needs to be done in order to put the city back on a path towards fiscal responsibility.
