Chico is a wonderful place to live. It has been a great place to attend college, create a business, and raise a family. To maintain our small town charm and provide opportunities for our future, we must make improvements. As the producer of the Home and Garden Show and donation coordinator for the Silver Dollar Fair, I understand the recent difficulties for businesses in Chico. We must be proactive in order to not only survive, but to thrive.

We need commonsense leadership.

My priorities include: improvements to sidewalks, roadways, and drainage (many neighborhoods of Chico do not have safe areas for our children to walk to schools or for bicycles to ride on the road; drainage issues also cause flooding and inconvenience). Economic growth is essential (we must attract new businesses while making sure our current businesses are given the assistance they need to prosper). We must protect Bidwell Park while allowing everyone to enjoy its recreational amenities and beauty. I will fight to keep the Leaf Pick-up Program for homeowners. I am against raising downtown parking fees. I believe we are overdue in addressing bicycle safety issues. It's our city. Let's make it better together. CoolidgeChico.com / 530-864-8683.
