Position Papers
Maintain a balanced budget and be proactive about securing adequate funding for our children
We were able to maintain a balanced budget for this school year by being fiscally conservative in using our reserves and restricted categorical monies from the state.
Implement the goals and strategies of the District Master Plan
The Alameda Board of Education developed this Master Plan to ensure Alameda students receive a quality education in spite of unprecedented reductions in California state funding for public education.
Implement and support the District Instructional Initiatives
The District Instructional Initiatives provide a type of capacity-building for our teachers and has measures which sustain these initiatives over time.
