Put Students First + The success and welfare of our students should drive all decisions.

Achievement

  • Give students and teachers the tools they need
  • Challenge and inspire students of all abilities by instituting service learning in grades 5-12, and career awareness in all grades.
  • Clearly communicate standards that put students first
  • Implement an assessment process and learning plan for all students entering HUSD.
  • Develop a clear and consistent evaluation policies that monitors all aspects of HUSD performance.

Accountability
  • Ensure that all students have a safe and stable environment in which to learn.
  • Lead decisive and productive school board meetings
  • Develop consistent and transparent evaluation and budgeting policies
  • Institute a tracking system for complaints and ideas so that issues and opportunities are addressed in a timely and thorough manner
  • Include people in the decisions that affect their lives
  • Visit every HUSD campus at least once a year.

I will build a culture of involvement, cooperation, and transparency for Students, Parents/Caregivers, Teachers, Staff, Board Members, and City and Community Members.
