In today's uncertain economic environment, affordable, high-quality education has become difficult to maintain. As a long-time student advocate and educator, I understand the impact this has had on our students at every level.

One of the main components of sustainable economic growth is a strong public education system. Community colleges serve as a foundation to that system, and a gateway to opportunity for millions of Americans. In order to remain competitive, we must ensure our policies reflect that commitment.

As Trustee, my goal will be to preserve that standard of excellence, enabling Ohlone to continue serving as a model for the state and nation. My priorities will be to increase accessibility and affordability while promoting an atmosphere of innovation that will lead our region in 21st century job-preparedness.
