lameda Planning Board member Marilyn Ezzy Ashcraft has spent most of her life in Alameda. Marilyn and her husband Howard raised their children here. They care deeply about the future of our city.

16 years of community service and leadership in Alameda has prepared Marilyn well to serve as your City Councilmember. She has served as President of the Planning Board, as an Economic Development Commissioner, and Hospital Director. She's volunteered in our schools, and co-chaired successful campaigns to build the Main Library and keep Alameda Hospital open.

In six years as a Planning Board Member, including two years as Board President, Marilyn has helped stimulate economic growth and bring high quality jobs and sustainable development to Alameda.

On the Hospital Board, she worked to support patients, improve healthcare services, and achieve a balanced budget.

In her work as an arbitrator, Marilyn helps opposing individuals and businesses resolve disputes. This experience will help Marilyn bring people together and achieve results at City Hall.

As your Councilmember, Marilyn Ezzy Ashcraft will work to create good jobs and housing opportunities, achieve a sustainable budget, protect our environment, promote ethical city government, and ensure Alameda remains a vibrant, livable community.

Marilyn and her husband Howard Ashcraft are the proud parents of 21 year-old twins, Claire and Cole.
