Candidate for
Board Member; Schell-Vista Fire Protection District

I retired from the State of California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire) as a Unit Chief and the Napa County Fire Chief with 40 years of fire service experience in 2010. I began my career as a seasonal fire fighter in 1970 after graduating from high school and promoted up through the ranks to Chief in 2002. I have been a resident of the Shell-Vista Fire Protection District for the past 17 years. I have Associate of Arts Degrees in General Education and Administration of Justice from Shasta College. I am married to Deborah and we have four children, and 8 grand children. We have been a foster family for 24 years. Deborah, as well as our two children, graduated from Sonoma Valley High Schools. I have been involved in the local Sonoma Valley Mentoring Alliance program as a mentor for the past two years. My 40 years of experience in the fire service has given me a wealth of knowledge in fire department administration and I would love the opportunity to give back to my community by serving on the Schell-Vista Fire Protection District Board.
