Solar Energy Businesses and factories that manufacture solar panels in Stockton

By Theresa Velazquez

Candidate for Council Member; City of Stockton; Council District 4

This information is provided by the candidate
Clean energy would benefit the economy and environment. With Stockton's high unemployment, and low tax revenue solar businesses would help. Port City Solar Energy, LLC, is my installation service company helping the environment.
I am focused on green technology to create jobs in Stockton.  I would like to propose factories that build solar panels in Stockton. This would create lots of jobs, and turn around the local economy.  Clean energy would benefit the economy and environment.  I believe like President Obama that "The future is here." We need to transform the way we power our cars, homes, and businesses.  The solar industry is healthy, and doing well with 60 successful factories in the U.S. which have actually driven the installation costs of solar down.  For communities like Stockton with high unemployment, and low tax revenue, a solar manufacturing startup would help with jobs. As a role model to help the environment, and owner of my solar energy business, Port City Solar Energy, LLC in Stockton I encourage people of Stockton, and can assist by offering my affordable installation service by using grants, tax breaks, and working with PG&E to include solar energy in homes and businesses. I make arrangements with solar panel distributors, and manufacturers, such as Sun Power Corporation, and can help potential investors find grants and loans to build factories that manufacture solar panels. Applying for a manufacturing grant is possible for those who qualify through the U.S. Department of Energy.
