Bryan McKeldin Ziegler was raised in North County San Diego and attended Santa Fe Christian High School in Solana Beach. As grandson of the late Maryland Governor Theodore Roosevelt McKeldin, Bryan was raised with a strong desire to serve his community. Bryan received a B.A. from Biola University and earned his J.D. from the University of San Diego School of Law. As an attorney, Bryan has served as Senior Deputy County Counsel for the County of San Diego for the past four years, advising county agencies and assisting them in making important decisions affecting the health and welfare of its citizens. Bryan is cross-deputized as a Special Deputy District Attorney and has prosecuted environmental and land-use violators, recovering hundreds of thousands of dollars for the County. Previously, Bryan served as a Deputy City Attorney for the City of San Diego and a Deputy District Attorney for Contra Costa County. Bryan has also volunteered for ten years as a Reserve Sheriff's Deputy, seven of which were patrolling the communities of Encinitas, Solana Beach and Del Mar.
