Ryan Trabuco, San Diego County Justice Commissioner

Candidate for Republican County Central Committee, 77th Assembly District

Why I'm Running:

San Diego County -- the fifth largest county in the United States -- is also one of the biggest, political battleground counties for both Republicans and Democrats in the country.

I'm running for Central Committee to continue to ensure that our local San Diego Republican Party continues to remain strong, vibrant, and best equipped to challenge the Democratic majority party that has single-handedly created one of the worst economic climates in our state's history.

The importance of having a strong Republican County Central Committee in San Diego is because of this unique phenomenon. The better candidates we can identify, train, and support then the stronger our party can be which also benefits the rest of California.

The City of San Diego for example, despite Democrats holding 41% of voter registration, has historically elected a Republican as Mayor. A big city, Republican Mayor with the ability to transcend a message of government reform and efficiency can provide a boon to our party at the state and national level. Why is this important? It helps us as Republicans more effectively take the battle straight to the Democrats, unions, and special interests on their own home turf.

Having served previously on the Harris County Republican Central Committee (the largest in the United States) in 2003-2004, on the Orange County Republican Central Committee from 2005-2007, and has an alternate member of the San Diego County Republican Central Committee since 2008, I feel I'm experienced enough to know what needs to get done for our fellow Republican candidates and elected officials in our region.

My name will appear on your ballot on June 5th, and I look forward to having your support. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. Thank you!
