Daniel Smiechowski born on Christmas Eve 1953 in The City of Churches, Milwaukee, Wisconsin to an Italian mother and Polish Father. Daniel grew up playing a wide variety of sports and travelled the world at a young age. Mr. Smiechowski attended elementary school in France and later attended The University of Paris--"Sorbonne.' He has completed most of the major triathlons in France as well. Additionally, Daniel routinely interviews French notables including five time Tour de France winner Bernard Hinault and the family of Senator John Kerry, Democrat of Massachusetts at Senator Kerry's childhood home in Britanny. At last count, Mr. Smiechowski has made twenty-three trips abroad. He maintains perhaps, the most diverse academic background of any 'Central Committee Candidate." Including degrees in Sociology, French, Linguistics, Real Estate and Education as well as advanced study in Politics, Philosophy, Religion and Psychology. He was elected to the Democratic Central Committee in 2008. He has actively worked on the Presidential Campaigns of Senator George McGovern--1972 and 1984, being voted on as presidential delegate in 1984. Also, worked on the Presidential Campaigns of then Governor Jimmy Carter 1976 and Governor Michael Dukakis 1988. In total, Daniel has volunteered on no less than twenty-five political campaigns all democratic both local and national since 1972 when he first voted at the age of eighteen. Mr. Smiechowski writes a national column for Americanchronicle.com where you may review further writings. He has worked in education, real estate and the transportation industry.
