Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Scott Sherman

Candidate for
Council Member; City of San Diego; Council District 7

This information is provided by the candidate

SCOTT SHERMAN: Reform City Hall Pensions

Scott strongly supports Prop B, the Comprehensive Pension Reform ballot initiative that finally ends gold-plated pensions for City Hall government employee unions. Scott is leading by example by pledging to not take any taxpayer-funded retirement as your City Councilmember.

SCOTT SHERMAN: Balance City Hall Budgets

Scott believes that City Hall budgets should be balanced by cutting the millions in waste and mismanagement, not by raising taxes. He also supports fully implementing managed competition, which makes City Hall compete against private companies to save millions on certain services. Scott supports putting all city contracts online to ensure accountability and transparency.

SCOTT SHERMAN: Protect City Services

The reason Scott wants to clean up City Hall's financial mess is so that he can fully restore the services that improve our quality of life by increasing police and fire protection, maintaining our parks, and restoring our libraries hours. And finally fix our streets and fill in the potholes!
