Position Papers
No on Proposition 28
This proposition increases the amount of time that an individual legislator is eligible to remain in a particular branch of the legislature. A yes on Proposition 28 decreases the turnover rate and allows all 120 members of the legislature to stay in for twelve years. The current law limits the terms in office at a particular branch and in effect increases the turnover rate. The current law allows for fresh faces and new ideas in the legislature.
