Carl knows how to do it.

Twice a mayor, Carl has balanced budgets, penciled out expenses and maintained a record of fiscal responsibility. His city is one of only two in the county that are Triple A bond-rated. Plus Del Mar has a surplus, employee pensions are paid in full and public-safety improvements are fully funded.

He's anti-tax, anti-wasteful spending.

The Howard Jarvis Taxpayers Association has endorsed Carl whose fiscal responsibility demands counting every nickel and eliminating wasteful spending.

He's a businessman who knows how to attract good jobs.

Carl is a successful businessman. He and his wife, Sharon, built an innovative wireless telecommunications company in San Diego County without taking a penny in outside funding or loans and grew it to 165 employees.

He's the only candidate who served in the military.

Having served as a lieutenant in the Navy, Carl understands the demands and pressures put on our service people and their families. He also believes that they deserve our greatest appreciation.

He's ready to tackle prisoner dumping.

The state calls cleaning out the prisons realignment. Carl calls it prisoner dumping and he's ready to tackle it for the safety of our families and our community, and for the financial hit we'll all have to take to pay for the state's solution to the state's problem.

He's given you free 911-cell phone calls.

Carl spent years fighting on behalf of American consumers. He took on wireless companies who used to charge users for 911-calls and he won. Wherever you are in the country today, you can make a free emergency call on your cell phone because of Carl.
