Scott Hasson Candidate for San Diego Community College Board of Trustees

Originally from New York City

Attended University of Oklahoma and was recruited from college to become a manager at General Motors.

Moved to San Diego in 1998 has lived in Tierrasanta ever since.

Tierrasanta Community Council member for more than 7 years and has been Chair for past 4 years.
- President since April 2008.
- Member for 7 years.

While President of TCC, protected community from rogue developers such as a storage facility and other projects that would have taken away from the community's quality of life.
- Instrumental on "No on Self Storage" to stop the self-storage on Clairemont Mesa Blvd.
- Scott Hasson led the "No on Prop A" committee to stop the moving of the international airport from Lindbergh Field to Miramar.
- Scott has been a major supporter of the US military and attends regular meetings with MCAS MIRAMAR.
- He is a member of the City of San Diego's Airport Advisory Committee, appointed by Mayor Jerry Sanders and confirmed by the City Council.

Scott is a commercially rated pilot, and advises the city on issues surrounding aviation and development.
-He is a member of the Community Planners committee for 4 years.

- He is a Commercial pilot and flies a Beechcraft Bonanza out of Montgomery field.
- He rides his Harley almost every day to work, and to city meetings he attends.
