Smart Voter Official Statement for Pierluigi Oliverio

Candidate for
Council Member; City of San Jose; Council District 6

This is a copy of information submitted to elections officials by the candidate

Occupation: Councilmember District 6
Education and Qualifications:

I am seeking your support for my second, and final, four year term. It has been an honor and a privilege to serve as your Councilmember. During my tenure, I have never missed a council meeting nor have I ever missed a council committee meeting. I have led and collaborated with residents, neighborhood schools, fellow councilmembers and Mayor Reed on: Pension Reform, reducing speed limits around schools, restoring our Municipal Rose Garden, facilitating the Three Creeks Trail, maintaining the Airport Curfew, and blocked the sale of our Willow Glen fire station.

As the son of immigrant parents and retired teachers I value hard work, education and financial responsibility. I attended Booksin Elementary, Hoover Middle and Willow Glen High. I obtained my BA and Teaching Credential from San Jose State University. I was raised on Willow Street and am a homeowner on Cherry Avenue where I am a parishioner of Saint Christopher's church. My 16 years of private sector high tech experience contributed to the City of San Jose saving over $1,000,000 dollars on a single purchase of technology.

I am endorsed by Mayor Reed, Santa Clara County Sheriff Laurie Smith, Councilwoman Rose Herrera among others. I humbly request your vote. http://www.FromHereForUs.com
