This is a copy of information submitted to elections officials by the candidate

Occupation: Cupertino City Council Member & Small Business Owner
Education and Qualifications:

When elected, I will continue protecting public health and the environment.

I will encourage job growth and fiscal responsibility. One of the worst polluters in Santa Clara County, Lehigh Southwest Cement Plant, is in our district. It is located next to Rancho San Antonio Park.

It provides fewer than 200 local jobs, yet its air and water pollution are harmful to the health of millions of workers and residents in the County, as well as to the environment.

Over ten long years, the County has allowed Lehigh to operate in violation of laws while profiting at the expense of our health and safety. Additionally, for the last ten years the County has run a deficit of $220 million. I am the only candidate who has been fighting hard to hold Lehigh and the County accountable.

With over 14 years of experience in public service on the Cupertino City Council, Public Safety Commission and School Board, I have a proven track record of ensuring fiscal responsibility, listening to my constituents, keeping campaign promises, and getting the job done. Your vote will allow me to serve you and to hold Lehigh and the County accountable. Please visit: http://www.barry4scc.com and http://www.facebook.com/barry4supervisor. Thank you.
