Smart Voter Official Statement for Robert Braunstein

Candidate for
Council Member; City of San Jose; Council District 10

This is a copy of information submitted to elections officials by the candidate

Occupation: Small Business Owner
Age: 53
Education and Qualifications:

My wife and I are 40 year residents of Almaden. We raised our kids here and sent them to local public schools. But I know we can do better to ensure a bright future for San Jose. That's why I'm running for City Council.

My deep roots in Almaden, business-minded approach to problems, and commitment to be a neighborhood-first City Councilmember set me apart in this race. I will bring a proactive approach to representing our neighborhood.

My three priorities for City Hall:

1. Fix budget challenges. Like you, the City needs to live within its means.

2. Fully staff the Police Department. San Jose was once the Safest Big City in America. We can be again.

3. Bring jobs to San Jose. As a business owner, I know there is more we can do to streamline doing business here.

It is this laser-like focus City Hall needs. That's why former Mayor Tom McEnery, Councilmember Sam Liccardo, and former Fire Chief Daryl Von Raesfeld have endorsed my campaign. I am also proud to call Pat Tillman, Sr. a friend and endorser.

I respectfully ask for your support and your vote. To learn more, visit VoteRobert2012.com or email me at robert@voterobert2012.com.
