This information is provided by the candidate

In 2010 Victoria Cameron was honored to be appointed a Superior Court Judge. She is currently assigned to the Riverside County Courthouse in Indio where she presides over criminal cases.

Judge Cameron believes it is important for a Judge to fairly administer justice by upholding the law because it is vital that we trust the integrity of our courts. Judges must administer fair and impartial justice. Since becoming a judge Victoria Cameron has never had a case overturned.

Previously Victoria Cameron served the people of Riverside County as a Senior Deputy District Attorney where she specialized in gang murder and child molestation prosecutions. She was on the DA's Homicide On-Call Team and responded to major crime scenes to assist law enforcement officers.

In 2007 Victoria Cameron was honored as a Riverside County Felony Prosecutor of the Year for her successful prosecution of a sexual predator named Kevin Carl Faulkner. Faulkner had beaten and molested young children in Blythe for nearly two decades. The jury wisely convicted him of 34 counts of child molestation. Faulkner is now rightly serving a minimum sentence of 316 years in State Prison.

Additionally, Cameron taught at Desert College of Law and San Bernardino Valley College. She volunteers in the community and, among other things, goes to schools to educate children about the dangers of crime and drugs.

Judge Cameron's commitment to justice and upholding our laws has earned her the support of many community leaders including numerous Judges, private attorneys, Sheriff Stan Sniff, every Police Chief in Riverside County, retired Sheriff Larry Smith, Undersheriff Colleen Walker, retired Undersheriff Valerie Hill, the Riverside Sheriffs' Association, the Palm Springs Police Officers' Association, the Corona Police Officers Association the District Attorneys for whom I worked, Grover Trask and Rod Pacheco, the Riverside County Deputy District Attorneys' Association, and many others throughout Riverside County.
