  • Chaired Marin's transportation agency for 13 YEARS
  • Led 2 successful funding campaigns that provide $22M/ yr
  • Captured $78M in bridge tolls for Twin Cities & SMART train
  • Prevented Caltrans from closing Madera Avenue
  • Led completion of carpool lanes from Novato to Corte Madera
  • Saved local bus service after Golden Gate cut back 35%
  • Established 1st regular bus service serving West Marin
  • Introduced the Muir Woods Shuttle
  • Re-building Sir Francis Drake through West Marin
  • Founding Chair- Bay Area Electric Vehicle Strategic Council

  • Eliminated over 800 lots on sensitive West Marin lands
  • Helped Marin Agricultural Land Trust protect 45,000 acres
  • Greatly expanded renewable energy in Marin
  • Helped pass Marin County's plastic bag ban
  • Organized award-winning Salmon restoration program
  • Permanently protected Lawsons Landing sand dunes and wetlands
  • Replaced failing septic systems on east shore of Tomales Bay

  • Re-directed green waste into 3 new composting sites

  • Led successful efforts to keep Marin General Hospital open
  • Pushed MMWD to secure a reliable water supply and more conservation
