As a lifelong Democrat, I think it is imperative that we have a Democratic District Attorney because the ideas and principles of our party such as equal access to justice, civil rights, a woman's right to choose, education and open government are at the core of the responsibilities of District Attorney. In my 26-year career with the District Attorney's Office, I have tirelessly fought for the rights and privileges that we as Democrats stand for. I have consistently voted for and supported Democratic candidates for elected office. These are the values and principles that I will use to govern and manage the office of District Attorney. My decision to serve as the next Los Angeles County District Attorney is based entirely upon my commitment to implementing real change and building relationships within the office and throughout Los Angeles County.
