What I look forward to doing

By Carlo Basail

Candidate for Member, Republican Party County Central Committee; County of Los Angeles; Assembly District 38

This information is provided by the candidate
My conservative positions represent a solid Republican plan of action.
I am running for one of the seven seats on the 38th Assembly District's Republican Central Committee because i can do better that the majority of incumbents who are there. The Central Committees should educate voters and potential candidates on proven conservative public policies based on the principles of free enterprise, limited government, individual freedom, strong national defense, and traditional American values. The Central Committee is the 'nuts and bolts' of the Republican Party as it interacts with potential voters and fellow Republicans. The communication of all voters and particularly the Republicans is collected at this level and transmitted upward through the Party and communicated to the State and National Party Headquarters. If anyplace in the Party needs more Openness and Transparency, it is here! With the election of these solid conservatives into the Central Committee, I think we should see a positive turnaround next year into a Central Committee that: maintains an inviting and friendly local GOP headquarters; organizes a quicker and livelier presence online at the SCVGOP.org website; supports and assists clubs to register new Republican voters; and support for more communication between all Republican Clubs and individuals within the District. If elected, I will be seeing to it that our new Central Committee be supportive of all Republican candidates in our district by: Holding educational/informational academies to assure the highest quality local candidates, Enabling these candidates access to the County voter rosters so that they can contact the voters, Allowing access to the local GOP headquarters for the running of candidate campaigns, Holding telephone banking sessions for all Republican candidates from primaries to general elections.
