I was raised in the 'American First' environment of late 1950's/early 1960's Southern California. I started life as a poor immigrants' son, blessed to attend the best prep schools, and then to move on and to graduate from Cal Berkeley with a B.A. in History. Along the way, my predominately conservative values were based on the upbringing by those hard-nosed Catholic parents who stress God, Family, Country,...I was sorely tested at the University but with lots of help from my friends, my Church, the NROTC program, and the various full time jobs that i had while attending, i graduated late but with honors. Unable to teach English and History in high school due to false expectations and my own immaturity, i started work in the Hollywood home town industry of movie and TV productions. There i worked hard physically and i dealt with lots of people, diverse work environments, and many inebriated workers in 1970's Hollywood. I used the lessons i learned in growing up, in college, and in other work places to become a better stagehand. It changed me into the thoughtful foreman and leading stagehand that i am today. Dozens of people still respond to my informal work calls; and hundreds of workers in the past generation have listened and learned while I 'show and teach" the On The Job skills and lessons, in this work environment that i call the BEST SUMMER job that i have ever had for 36 years. In short i evolved from a solitary worker to a competent and confident team leader who will work on big money projects or small commercials with the same enthusiasm and expertise.

And my conservatism evolved into a other areas, economic and political because i had seen first hand that the individual makes it, or doesn't. There was no amount of government training program/ or unemployment benefits that could rival the feeling of working full time based on your own merits. The government rules had only stiffed the companies i worked for. And the taxes were astronomical for a guys with one year of accounting classes. I had paid 10% in overall taxes when i worked part time at near minimum wage, now i am paying almost 50% in taxes of all kinds from income, excise, sales, gasoline, and property.

In short, i am a people oriented person, who promotes his personal conservative values and principles because they are the best for both his political party, the GOP, and the Nation.
