Smart Voter Political Philosophy for Michael f. Greer

Candidate for
County Supervisor; County of Butte; Supervisorial District 5

This information is provided by the candidate

I believe in government for the people and by the people; assuring that the public voice gets a chance to be heard. We need leadership at the top that I have demonstrated in previous and current positions. I propose that there be evening meetings where working people don't have to miss work to attend. We need transparency and opportunity to communicate with our representative that has been lacking in our district. I can and will be the public servant that you can rely on, support and respect.

LAND USE: · INFRASTRUCTURE (ROADS, WATER, FIRE AND POLICE) NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED AND VERIFIED. · SUFFICENT GROUND WATER AVAILABLE (CUMULATIVE EFFECT) WITHOUT IMPACTING CURRENT PROPERTY OWNERS · TRAFFIC SAFETY PROJECTS TO BE MITIGATED AND COMPLETED BEFORE DEVELOPMENT BEGINS. · LOCALIZED MEETINGS WITH AFFECTED COMMUNITY MEMBERS · CONTINUED TALKS WITH OTHER GOVERNMENT AGENCIES AND PRIVATE OWNERS TO ALLOW PUBLIC USEAGE OF LANDS.

ECONOMIC REVITALIZATION: · EASE RESTRICTIONS ON PROPERTY OWNERS USAGE OF LAND AND HOMES FOR APPROPRIATE BUSINESSES. · PROVIDE TAX BENEFITS TO NEW COMPANIES AND EXISTING ONES THAT SUNSHINE WHEN COMPANIES ARE ESTABLISHED OR FAIL TO ADHERE TO BUSINESS PLAN AND AGREEMENTS WITH COUNTY. · GENERAL PLAN CONDUCIVE TO NEW BUSINESSES. · ASSIST CITIES IN JOB CREATION. · EVALUATE CURRENT JOB PROGRAMS SUCCESS TO COST OF PROGRAMS.

SOCIAL SERVICES: · EVALUATION OF COUNTY MONEY GOING TO PRIVATE INSTITUTIONS TO PROVIDE SERVICES. COST OF ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES TO PATIENT SPENDING. · COST BENEFIT OF FRAUD DETECTION TO AMOUNT GIVEN TO RECIPIENTS.

SAFETY: · LOBBY AGAINST ADDDITIONAL FEE FOR FIRE PROTECTION. · PIRORITIZE COMMUNITIES NEEDS AND ADDRESS THEM AS BUDGET ALLOWS. · EVALUATE TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM OF ROADS AND MAINENTANCE AND PRIORITIZE ACCCORDING TO BUDGET. CONSULT WITH STAKEHOLDERS TO PROVIDE THE MOST EFFECTIVE METHODS FOR CRIME AND FIRE PROTECTION WITHIN THE BUDGET.
