This information is provided by the candidate

A longtime Culver City resident and business owner, Micheál (Mehaul) O'Leary was elected to the City Council four years ago because he has the necessary business experience our city needs. As your Councilmember, Mehaul has led Culver City's successful economic development and has protected our police officers and firefighters.

Given the challenges that our city may soon face, Mehaul's leadership and experience are more important than ever.

As your Councilmember, Mehaul is committed to:

Economic Development: Culver City's economy has continued to grow with many new businesses joining our community. However with the California Supreme Court's recent decision to end redevelopment agencies, Culver City will need continued leadership to navigate what could be a very challenging future.

Strengthening Public Safety: We must protect the funding our police and firefighters need. Mehaul will continue working to place more officers on patrol, while ensuring our first responders have the resources they need to keep us safe.

Maintaining a Balanced Budget: Mehaul has successfully worked to balance Culver City's budget. He promises to keep our budget balanced and will continue to find ways to protect our city services and quality of life.
